There is a tick in the top of my engine. it hasn't changed in severity since I bought it this time last year. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

 

i have a lifter tick at idle goes away with RPM

mine has ticked sionce i bought it last year, after the cam it started ticking louder...8000 HARD miles later in less than 3 months still running strong, hopefully this winter i can put some ported heads and new lifters in... Im going to run it untill i can put better stuff in, or run it untill it breaks. It seems to runs strong

BTW mine has 68,000 miles.
