Default SLP/ Cold Air Induction box

this has been bugging me, i bought this a long time ago and installed it recently, the onlything i couldn't figure out was the Long piece of Rubber tubeing like piece, WHERE DOES IT GO? haha PICTURE!!!

the piece with the red 3m tape on it

I think that is suppose to be used to seal up the front of the lower airbox. That is the spot that all air used to enter the airbox before you added the SLP CAI. At least that is where I put mine.

i have mine open, .....i mean does it help it to close it or leave it open?

I don't think it hurts but I figure they put it there for some reason. A lot of folks here will tell you the SLP CAI does not do much anyway. I dunno I thought I felt a small improvement after doing this mod but everyone has their own opinion.

im with you on that, i felt an improvment, i mean u godda do that and some exhaust to tell a difference...oh well its like u said everyone has their own opinion
