Default Who bulds a 370 cid?

Hi, I have been doing some searchign for an engine to put in my truck and have pretty much narrowed it down to a 370cid. I have found a couple shops online that build them but only a couple, im sure theres more out there. Anyone have a favorite or two they could link me to?

Thanks,
Michael

I'd contact LME.

There is/was one in the for sale section here as well.

Thanks guys, emailed a few of them, a couple I had already talked to as well. I was told by one builder that the 370 often puts down 460hp and the 408 around 480, this seems a bit weird since there is an additional 38cid difference in them, but only 20hp? Whats yall's opinion? What do you think a moderately built, daily drivable, emmissions friendly(passable in texas at least, lol) 370 will put out?

Im hoping to stay a little on the low side for compression so I can go with a single turbo setup. I'd also like to have a small shot of nitrous, 75-100. This would be later though..

EDIT: This is on a truck, so the numbers will be a bit lower, and the times will be a lot slower lol, i think right now it weigs about 5800 lbs with the audio equipment.. the box, loaded weighs about 100-120lbs itself.

Every 370 I have seen is usually about 485-500 rwhp depending on heads and cam choice. And 408's are around 490-550 depending on heads and cam selection.

408''s will have more trq.
I'm about to fire my 370 on WED if all goes well. Sill have to put the tranny back on, and a few peripherals on the motor (but it is in).
I expect ~450 rwhp, we shall see.

Keep me updated Preditor-Z. Also, does anyone know what kind of fuel economy difference there would be between the 408 and the 370? I imagine the 370 gets decent mileage since its only 6 cubes larger than the stock 6.0 block, but i'd be getting larger injectors as well. Im no expert with these things, lol.

Thanks for the info, keep it coming!

Pred, don't you get 98 octane at the pumps in UAE? Why not go w/ more compression if so?

Yeah we do, But i'm shooting nitrous so I first want to check how it is working at these levels.

Yeah, back home would be nice, but it will be cheaper to just sell the car and start over fresh. The darn emmision laws etc, my car does not qualify. It has no O2 sensors and runs in open loop all the time. Part of the reason why I can get more power out of setups here.
The Vette is a US specs so I can take that one back.
