How much of a difference does the LS2 Z51 6spd gearing make over the base model 3.42 standard 6spd gearing in the 1/4 mile?

 

Don't flame me if I'm wrong, but I believe the transmission that comes in the Z51 has these gears...

1st - 2.97
2nd - 2.07
3rd - 1.43
4th - 1.00
5th - .71
6th - .57

VS a 2.66 1st gear

The lower 1st gear will help get the car off the line much quicker in stock form, even if it has 3.42 gears. I don't know a whole heck of a lot about the new ones, but hope this helps.
