Default Ported Ridge on fast intake pics

How does this look ? it's where the ridge was and i die grinded them down and lightly sanded them to blend in,surely it's better than it was.

You'll have to take the upper half off and line the bottom piece up to your heads. I made a thread not too long ago to show I am going to try ad get it as best as I can using threaded rods as studs to torquw to lower portion down:

the only thing i ported was the one ridge in the lower corner,i am going to leave the actual port alone,i just wanted that ridge out of there since it seems that is where the runner is the smallest and i think it may cause some turbulence.

Yup, I think any little bit will help. I on the other hand am going caveman on the intake and trying to match the AFR heads. I will be using JB weld in the corners then sand/grind them down to match the same shape. Probably not needed, nor will it add up to anything significant, but I'm **** in that way

I wish the stock intakes came apart like the fast intake. It would have been fun to play with the stock one as well.

out of curosity what kind of bits are you using ?i used a regular 3/8 carbide ball-tipped and couldn't believe how quick it removed the material, even though it is just plastic.it only took me 1 hour to dis-assemble it, remove the corner and sand it.i still can't believe they come like that from the factory, that is ridiculous !

I've just been using sanding rolls that are part of an old head port/polish kit that I had. THe material was removed very easy with that as well. All the stuff that I'm doing now will be manual (sand paper around a piant mixing stick / Rat tail file for the corners.
