Oil Pressure???? Ok when i start my car my oil pressure is at about almost 60....once i start drivin like high way speeds it goes down to just over 40....when i rip on it it goes above 60....is this normal? what should i do?
Yup, thats about what mine does. At cold start the oil will be thicker until it warms up and the viscosity drops some, thus the pressure will be high during that period. Holding a steady light throttle cruise, it should be right around 40-50ish, sits at 40 at warm idle. Going WOT should push it over 60. General rule of thumb is 10psi for every 1k rpms is desireable.
