Default Could I have a problem... post head install

Just finished up my Dart 205/Morels/Green Tops install and after reading another thread, I dont know if I may have a problem or not. Here is the problem.

When installing the rockers, I used a hi-temp thread sealant to keep the oil from working its way down the threads and into the runner. Should I have used locktight?

On a side note, the install went great. The valvetrains actually more quiet than with the stock lifters, although I may have had too little preload (~.050 too little) before the swap. Running .043 on the morels with a 7.325 PR.

You should be fine. If you want, check em out after about ~500miles and see how there doing. If they are backing off, then put some locktight.
BTW, how much power are you expecting to gain with those heads? I have pretty much the same setup, cam too!! I love my F14 cam. Pulls like a *****

I use permatex #2 on the threads to stop oil on the intake side, but blue loctite under the washers of all 16 to stop them from backing out. Check them as suggested above.

Thanks,

I'll check them after a while, unless I start to hear something earlier.

Rebelord,
Its hard to say and I'll never really know, as I didn't dyno before the heads. With the setup in my sig, I'm hoping to see 440. I'm going to start working on the tune, so I should have some numbers pretty soon.

I dunno about rockers, but I accidently used that stuff on a crank bolt and the balancer walked shortly after. I didn't even realized I had done it unill I looked at the bottle before reinstalling the balancer. Used red locktite after that and never had a problem. Funny thing is, usually without locktite the balancer wont walk off, only happened when I used that crap. Valvetrain gets pretty hot, but I don't know if those bolts would undo themsleves or not. Just putting in my experience from that stuff.
