Question about MS3, Valve Springs, and MTI 2E Heads
Ok so my old car was a 2000 WS-6 which I did a hot-cam in because at the time is was one of the better options lol.
Now I'm back in an LSx car and I'm itching to mod it. I've got a 2002 Z06, and I have an MS3 cam on its way to my door. I have a lead on a set of MTI Stage 2E LS1 heads locally for a really good deal. Now for the questions...
-Does anyone know if there is any noticable difference between their Stage 2E LS1 vs Stage 2E LS6 heads?
-Does anyone know what springs the 2E heads were shipped with, and will they be stout enough to handle the MS3's lift? If not, I'm guessing PRC gold springs are the way to go? Will PRC springs fit the heads without any machine work for the heads/rockers?
-It sounds like I may need to flycut my pistons with the MS3 and aftermarket heads. Is this due to the aftermarket heads being slightly milled to raise compression, or is there some other reason the flycutting is needed?
-Some people mentioned they just used a thicker head gasket in lieu of flycutting. Would the added thickness lower CR enough to negate any of the positive effects of these mods?
Thanks a ton!!!

I'm can't tell you anything about the MTI heads or whether they will fit. but yes when heads are milled you loose PTV clearence and also when they stick larger valves in the heads you loose some PTV clearence
