Gasket set - head, exhaust, etc.
I'm going to be getting a new set of 5.3's soon for my T/A with the mods listed in my sig....
However, i was looking at head gaskets, headbolts, and exhaust gaskets, and i'm sorta confused...
To go out and buy Felpro head gaskets at Advance auto parts, its like $20 per side, and head bolts are about the same price.... what's the deal? that just sounds way way way way too cheap to me? Is that stuff junk, or what's the deal?
Any suggestions on what i should get? copper exhaust gaskets? what type of header gasket? head bolts? (don't really wanna spend $200 on ARP studs, i'd like to save some money - if everythign works out well, they won't be coming off for a long long time) - anything else i'm going to need??
Thanks in advance !!!

Nothing wrong with the Felpro stuff. While your at Advance might as well pick up a set of stock replacement header gaskets. Just make sure you get the metal ones and they don't try to sell you the paper crap. If Advance doesn't have the metal ones, I know Napa does and I think they are $8 a set.
