Knock sensor help please

The best thing to do is search "knock sensors." This topic has been beaten to death. Also, you just buy the correct wire and install it, no splicing necessary.

Part numbers: LS1 knock sensor (AC-Delco #213-298) (GP Sorensen KS116) = 10456222
LS1 knock sensor wiring harness = 12597415

The numbers above are probably for the newer style.

Call the dealer and have your VIN ready (those parts guys can't figure out anything with out it.) I bet the old style are no longer available even if you wanted them.

Also try the local parts store, they'll prolly have the AC-Delco sensors.

I don't know if the later style are better or what have you. Sorry.

ive read the 98 knock sensors are to sensitive so the 01's are better
