Will this H/C combo be good?
Will this H/C combo be good? I am going to be getting heads and cam soon, have been doing some research and I think I am leaning towards Patriot Performance stage 2 LS6 heads(cnc ported) and either a 224/224(114lsa) or 228/228(114lsa) cam. my car is just a summer weekend car so I am not looking for neck snapping power, just something that will produce some decent power. any help or suggestions are welcome.

Sounds like a good choice on the combo. It won't make crazy power but I'm sure you'll be happy with whichever cam you choose to go with. If you don't need to pass emissions, I'd go with the bigger cam so you don't wish you did in the future. The difference between those is not that great but might as well go bigger now. If you do have to worry about emissions (I see you have a catted y), then go 224 on a 114 as it will be easier to pass emissions with it.
I don't have to worry about emissions in Il, how much bigger cam are we talking? I love the sound of lopey cams but it is not necessary in my case. Plus I will be putting in a 3200 Vig stall soon.
