Oil Pressure
If he didn't R&R the motor then you might have to yank it and bring it to him. I guess I'd prove to him he didn't install the plugs, install them, and go from there. If it has damaged bearings it won't take long for it to surface.
Take a picture and send an email to him. To be safe I wouldn't say anything about possible damage in the first email. You don't want him on the defensive...you want him to admit to it. If the bearings are crap...yeah it's his fault. After all......the guy already told you he put them in.
If the bearings are messed up you should know very soon.If you don't hear the knocking....you'll see metal in the oil.
Here is exactly what he told me. I called him and told him that i have zero oil pressure and i asked him about these two plugs. He told me " if we removed the plugs, then we always put them back in." I told him that I didnt want to take it all back apart to check, he then said " i cant 100% guarantee that they are in". He told me that he thought it was an electrical issue and to check the wiring. this was 7/10.
I want to make sure i do everything right so that if i have any issue with my build bc of this, that it is his fault. I dont know if he has an email adress to send a picture. I took a picture with my cell phone and u can see that it is missing. It is a business, a machine shop, not just a one man operation.
I ordered the front plug and a new O ring bc im already in there. I am going to plug the hole, replace the o ring, and check for pressure. If I have pressure, cool, ill check for bearing damage like a hawk. If i still do not have pressure, Do I go to him and tell him the rear plug is not there and he needs to take care of this?????? Im so sick of taking things apart after there already assemble
What other advice do you guys have?? Sorry if this is annoying but I want this to be over with and want to know how to approach the builder.
Thanks

what should oil look like on a brand new motor? i used a ton of black assembly lube on the cam, and im not sure what the builder used for lube, it might have been green or red.......
one thing to keep in mind before answering to this would be that bc the galley plug was missing, i dont think enough oil would have gotten to the bearings for there to be metal in the oil...........
. i fired it up and the pressure went thru the roof. thank god
now i just gotta wait and see if the bearings took a hit..............................what are the symptoms of bad bearings?
