Crane 1.8 roller rocker
Stupid question. I have a 2000 SS M6. I have some of the basic MODS, SLP Cat-Back, Granatelli MAF, SLP Air Box lid, Smooth Bellows, K&N air filter.
I was thinking of going with a different cam. But at this time I really can't install it myself, and to pay someone is just a little out of budget. I was thinking of the Crane 1.8 Roller rocker arms. This would increace the valve lift slightly. Would it make much of a difference for the price?????

It will indeed give you more lift. Stock is 1.7, so by installing 1.8, you're raising your max lift by 5.88%. I don't know what the stock cam specs are off the top of my head, but a ~6% increase will give you about 30 thousanths extra lift on a stock cam. You will actually pick up a little duration (as degree duration is measured at a fixed height).
Whether or not it's worth it....?.?.? maybe a couple of horsepower. You're money is probably better spent elsewhere. Just my .02

Another (and less expensive) option is the SLP kit (really 4 kits, depending on how much valvetrain you want to replace.) They're like the factory rockers and not adjustable like the Crane arms, but they're 1.85 ratio so a teeny bit more lift (for no additional lifter travel.) I think most people have a hard time justifying the cost v. performance issue unless they're also trying to avoid tinkering with the block for warranty issues and the like.
