Then the best you can do is guess. Add 25-27* to your IVC and use that number as a general range of DCR. What kind of cam is it? Does it have lobe numbers on the butt?
EDIT, just saw the other post. Being that it's a Flowtech cam from Ed, you can get the .006 duration from him. Either way what I stated above will get you very close.

Using the compression figures Ed gave you, your .006" duration should be 298* and you .006" IVC should be 77.

So is the general consensus that at

12.3 SCR and 8.75 DCR this car will be a monster with 93 octane?

quick question on this...
i dont have anythign with me here at work, and all i knwo are the cam specs at .050 ... but the spreadsheet calculates everything off of what the specs are at .006 . is there a general method to finding what everythig is at .006??
my cam is 232/230 .580/.580 110LSA. Any help would be great! thanks

could someone calculate mine? I dont have excel. Its an original ls1(heads never removed) and the cam specs are 281 @.006" with 114 lsa and 111 icl.

Theres no methodical way of figuring this out without cam specs at .006". Results from most LS based cams have shown that you need to add 25-27* to you .050 IVC for a very close guesstimate.

Dug, I get 7.8 DCR for yours.

You set up static compression at 12.3 without knowing what the DCR would be?
