im thinking of buying a shortblock but its a 98 block with 32000 miles. i know the 98 blocks are said to be the least appealing of gen III blocks but is it going to make a difference if it has forged internals? I want to get this but am not sure if the year block is THAT big of a deal. a little info please....

the main difference is it is said that the 98 blocks cannot be honed more than .004-.005 and 99+ blocks are good to .007-.010, we have used a few 98 blocks with no problems at all. if it is already built no worries about the 98 block really.
