Default Thunder Trak CAM tuning question

Anyone else have one of these?
I have one in my GTO and just finished doing the SD tune and AFRs are right were I want them and idle is just great.
Now for the question, it was constantly it was pulling way to much timing with Torque management. EFI was showing est- trans torque reduction spark retard 0 min, 9 ave and 50 max. just insane amounts to where it was barely moving when initially taking off. Once i turned off abuse mode, and set the tq reduction upshift and downshift sections to 0 it finally would take off as expected.

So I expected the CAM to have insane tq but to register and kick it into abuse mode just with normal driving?

Now its time to hit the track and dial her in, although if anyone has more pointers for this cam I would appreciate it. Doing it on my own is fun but a some hints would be nice too.

Unless you're revving over 6600, that's torque management that's retarding your timing. If I remember right, the factory has the abuse mode on the 04's set at anything over 6600RPM.

You should post this over in the PCM forum if you actually want some feedback though, otherwise just go enjoy your ride.
