Default Cam Help

I currently have a stock 2000 z28 w/ls1. I would like to put in a new cam without changing heads. Any recommendations. Been looking at comp cams part #54-414-11. Does anyone know if I can put it in without changing valve train or anything else? Please help!!!

You will need to change your valve springs with any aftermarket cam you pick. You should check out the 224 cam from texas speed, it is a proven cam, and will work with stock heads,

You should always upgrade your valve springs. Lunati Cams sells some less powerful cams and they say you do not have to upgrade your springs with those type of cams.

Regardless of what they say, the factory springs are barely enough to handle the factory cam.
