Help- Secondary Air injection Valve A misfunction
I'm getting trouble codes with my OBDII reader- "P0412 Secondary Air injection system Valve A misfunction" which is causing further code errors of P0171 and P0174 system too lean (each bank)
Today my car was even slightly misfiring (sounded like a hiccup).
I'm assuming this air injection system is an emissions related issue, but I wasn't sure where to post this.
Does anyone have any ideas on this? Is it a simple bolt on replacement part? Please let me know.
The engine is a 2002 LS1/ 6 speed trans from a T/A. I performed an engine swap into an '84 T/A and I have a smog certification appointment on Monday here in CA. If I can't fix it by this weekend I'll have to reschedule.
Thanks,

so much for certifying my car on Monday.
I called my local dealer and they sell the valves for this. Apparantly, there's 2 of them. I'll replace them both and see what happens.
Any suggestions for tracking down the lean condition? would you suspect the computer programming, or a mechanical failure of some sort? does this boil down to an old school spray starter fluid on the engine looking for a vacuum/ gasket leak?
since I got codes for each bank I'm guessing it's a main leak of some sort- something to affect each side.
any help would be appreciated. I am still new to the LS1 engine.
Thanks
