The GM service manual says: "Access to the MAP sensor is limited. But does not require removal of the intake manifold". Has anyone ever changed out the MAP sensor this way on the Fbody? It looks very tight.

 

well you can remove the pass coil pack and if your arm is skinny enough you can reach back there and pull it out. But in doing so...your gonna break the lil' molded clip that holds it in and chance putting a hole in the intake.

Best thing would be to just take the intake off. 10 min job. easy.
*****JUST REMEMBER****

Lift the intake straight UP! do not tilt it back or you will break the oil pressure sending unit back there. lil trick you can do is get a rubber band that will stretch the width of the intake and lift the 2 back bolts up and put the rubberband around them holding them up so you can slide it forward easier.

 

Takes a minute to change on the car. It would help if you could look at an intake first to get the idea.

 

I have a verygood idea about what it looks like and what is holding it in place. But how can I go about changing it in one minute like you said?
