Sorry guys I must have gae you the wrong idea. I mean $3000 on heads and cam alone, a few hundred up or down is fine. I will be spending way more then that I just want a decent head cam combo. I was thinking of dumping a total up near 10k.

The goal is to hang and maybe with a 150 shot put me ahead. Cause from what I read the vette puts down 430ish to the wheels.

What combo for just heads and cam will put me there.

Thanks

it may peak around 430 (I think that's low) but having so many more cubes it's going to have more torque, and more area under the curve. peak hp isn't everything.

How about some AFR 225 small bores with a G5X4 cam?
Maybe AFR 205's milled to 59 cc with G5X4 cam?
ET 215's with G5X4 cam?
Add the Tony Mamo Ported FAST 90 mm and a ported 90 mm TB and the rest of the valvetrain upgrades and boltons, and you should have no problem making 500-505 rwhp with 440+ rwtq. Should be just enough to get ahead and stay ahead, or chase him/her down and outrun them. I just said her, how cool would it be to know a chick with a C6 ZO6!!!! Good luck. If all else fails do the above and add a 150 shot to guarantee victory.

I know the trans alone will cost me 2k-3k area but that comes when I melt the stock one.

I will even be happy if I get the C6 beat. I know I can atleast do that if I aim for the Z06. I watched a couple of videos and those things are beasts in the whole power ban. I seen it kill vipers, ford gt400, lambos, exotics, and modded to hell cars. And all have been stock and its so streetable. Crazy ****

Along with being crazy Im also alittle pickey. Can I hit this range and not stall out, suck gas like crazy, and never hook up? The vette a monster yet manageable so what combo am I aiming for?

Some people say that the f13 cam and stock z06 heads can get me up there. Or the tr224 cam will do it too.

If you can't beat them; join them... get your own 427ci motor and your own LS7 heads/intake + a cam.

Set your goals lower to start then work up...

If you cant beat a GT500 dont expect to even beat a 06' vette coupe because the base vette owns the gt500 if you can beat that then try the GT if you beat that your on the right track

I agree with the second part. $3000: Heads, cam, and 150 shot will do it.

I just had a customer report he made 450ish RWHP with the new TFS heads through an A4. I don't know the rest of the particulars, but it did have a Fast 90/90 and the best of everything.

it wille be very, very difficult to top 500 rw through that auto trans n/a and even with 500 rw your weight will still be a factor.i think they trap in the low 12x mph range in the 1/4 so you better plan on spray , turbo or super charger to edge him out.(edit)i'm talking about a street race btw,at the strip with stall, etc, etc you will probably win with proper traction with a solid h/c combo.

When racing on the street, mph is what usually wins the races. Rarely will you find Vettes willing to race from a dig...most will be from a roll. Keep in mind, the C6 Z06 will turn 124mph in the 1/4 bone stock. To do that in a full-weight automatic F-body will take well over 500 rwhp (unless you're racing in really cold weather). Better aerodynamics, lower weight, and better weight distribution make the C6 Z06s very hard to beat on the street without some big hp.

I can't wait to get another crack at one. Even though I end up on the losing end by a bit, unless I miss a shift and get blown out, its the most fun I have losing. Just need a little more, and I'll be the one out front.

My input is FI
A nice 10 psi T76 setup with all the goodies.
Nothing obnoxious, daily driven 700 rwhp beast that will make any C6 Z06 die for more cubes

Definately. But what about the guys who want to play the part of David and take out Goliath? I am staying N/A and hope to win on motor with less cubes. Good comment Predator-Z.... How's your car running in this recent heat wave that's sweeping the country. Stay tuned for my official track times. Coming soon.

Car running good, still fine tuning. # in sig but more to come, another 10 ponies hiding I'm sure of it.
I'm not in the States Im in the triple digit temp capital of the universe.
Dubai is in the Persian Gulf area (Arabian Gulf depending on which side you are).

Our races start from 28 Sept. we shall see some results. I decided to go NA as well for a while in the Open V8 Street division (no power adder allowed).

If all goes well, I should brake 10's (10.8's would be my guess unless I loose more weight). We shall see.
I have to get another stall (currently VIG 3200), maybe a VIG 4000 or YPT 4200 (still deciding)
