t-rex is fairly large, and a programmer wouldnt be the best..so it would be more street friendly with a custom tuner.after that to some people streetable is an opinion and could mean either its easy to drive or it takes a lil more skill. youd get better manners with a gear upgrade.

If you don't mind slipping the clutch and no bottom end, it's a wonderful cam. Very streetable.

If you just got the car two days ago you should probably hold off on getting a cam until you've had the opportunity to do some more research. The T-ReX is not a street-friendly cam--regardless of how much tuning you do. I had a T-ReX for two years before swapping it for my current cam, and, on the street, my new cam is far more enjoyable.

hell ya kid i have my trex in my M6 and i can daily drive mine but i got a bike now so it is a weekend cruiser. you need a dyno tune and it is the same price as that stupid preditor programmer. just build your valve train because the cam loves to live in the 6500-7200 rpm range.

You just have to try it and see if you like it
Me personally i do not like cams that large in A DD just my.02
Everyone has differant tolerance levels as for as big cams go.
Good Luck.

I have one and it's coming OUT, it may be daily drivable with a tune but considering you pretty much have to shift above 2K RPM's, youll have a lot of fun starting up a hill from a stop with that M6

I second that, put it into the engine!

I drove TREX in a DD 408ci ported & valve job heads 6 speed (3.42) with no problems, it surges a little under 1500 but thats expected with a big cam.

Yeah thats in a 408 I'm pretty sure he's stock cubes. It'll be a whole different animal in a larger motor because the extra cubes swallow the cam up some.

I was just going to say that! Big cubes really really REALLY mellow out big cams.

The T-Rex will in no way resemble stock drivability. Youre gong to lose low end. Youre gonig to have to spin REALLY high. Youre gonna want gears. Youll need a top notch tuner to eliminate all the bucking and surging that typically accompanies big cams. My suggestion is that you find a local car club and check out (and possibly go for a ride) in some cars with bigger cams. A basic rule of thumb: In naturally aspirated motors, the more power you make, the more of a pain in the *** it is to drive.

OMG here we go again i can drive my trex with my 4200 stall any place i want to. and here we go again with the low end loss thing, who cares. i could easily drive my car everyday. its all in the tune, i have an exellent tune on my car. i'm sure thats what makes the difference.
