Default pistons and rod bolts

I'm planning to do a head/cam package this winter (I'm 90% sold on the G5X3 and AFR 205s). Along with it, I'm doing Comp 921 springs, hardened pushrods, ported oil pump, new timing chain, LG Pro LT headers, LG radiator/oil cooler, new clutch and a few other misc. things. I've also had several people mentioned replacing the rod bolts and pistons (diamond pistons were mentioned specifically). My goal is to go in once do it and be done with it, so if this is something I'm going to eventually need to do, I'd rather do it now, but I don't want to waste the money on somthing I don't really need.

My primary use for the car is AutoX and HPDEs and I have no plans to ever do F.I. or NO2

There is no need to replace the pistons. Katech or ARP rod bolts are recommended if you want to spin your motor high. Katech's are $150, which is well worth it for the protection they provide, especially if you're going to be seeing high rpm for a sustained period of time.
