hey guy i bought an engine come off 02 chevy pick up does it fit right on my 00 trans am? or i need to do any mod

I'm assuming you mean the LQ9 or LQ4 engine?

it an lq4 do i need to do any mod to make it fit in my 00 T/A i know i have to change the intake and oil pan also water pump but not sure the crank shaft will bolt right in my A4 transmission

 

What year LQ4? I *believe* the cranks are different pre-'01.

should i just use the ls1 flextplate on it or the 6L flextplate?

 

The LS1 flexplate should work.

 

i try to bold up the ls1 flexplate and it have a gap between the transmission and the block does the lq4 short block have the spacer on it self have anyone got the 6L install on F body w/ automatic

 

Hmm, this is getting past my actual experience so I won't chime in anymore... Hopefully someone else can help you out.

ok i figure it out already...if anyone having this trouble the 6L crank shaft have a spacer all you do is get 2 bolt and bolt it in the 2 hole that offset and turn it clockwise and it will work with ls1 flextplate and bolt right in 4l60e tranny
