Default Solid Cam??

I just called COMP cams for a recommendation on a cam, told him that my setup is 346ci forged internals -2cc VR, LT hooker headers ,pp ls6 II heads milled to 12:1 comp , 90/90 LSX fast,4.3 diff ratio ,28 slicks , 3100bl car weight , th400 , fuddle 5500 and all the small things. For a race only car. N/A, street division.
I was told to go with a solid cam setup, 268/272 duration 668/624 lift 110 lope separation. He told me that I need to buy a pushrod checker to know what pushrods to use, my question is, is that the only thing I need to change?what about lifters? Who is running a similar cam and what is your opinion on this cam? What springs to use (I have pp golden but the are rated for only 650 left)? What is the RPM rage for this cam? Will I gain a lot over the g5x3 114 that I’m running right now?

Thank you

You'll need new lifters and new springs. I'd even look at new rockers to go with that cam. That's an 8,000rpm cam.

Different. Stiffer spring (which should be a good thing). Obviously rollers. Maybe stiffer, adjustable rockers (since you will need to set lash).

Your cam will be more aggressive than a hydraulic roller and rev higher...both creating more power.
