Whats a good cam? Just wondering what would be a good cam to get for a stock 2001 ls1? I want something that isnt too loud but gives the car a nice ideling sound and provides some good performance. But also something that would work if I were to upgrade heads one day.
Also do you need a good tune after getting a new cam? I would think you would but not sure.

When I was considering replacing the cam, the TR224 was my choice. Then, I talked to Allan at FMS. The F10 was a better choice. He said it makes about 10rwhp more than the TR224 and it idles better too. I have been using this cam for 2 years and makes a nice daily driver. The specs are 228/228 0.575"/0.575" 114LSA. There is a 112 LSA as well.
