Default Why should I switch from the TRex to the MS4?

I just ordered a set of Stg 1 LS6 heads from TSP. I am planning on replacing the lifters, and maybe the cam. Is there any benefit for me to put in the MS4 or should I stay with the TRex thats in the car now?

The MS4 may have slightly less bucking issues. The MS4, which has more lift due to the LSK lobes, may have an advantage of power under the curve. However, with a 4000+ stall power under the curve should have zero meaning to you. Buy a hefty shot of N20 or mill the heads and flycut the pistons for the same price.

I like the sound of adding at least 100-150 shot of N2O to my set up. That would be a lot more fun. Thanks for all the advice so far. If the TRex isnt damaged from the collapsed lifter then I am probably going to stay with that. I still havent seen any dyno or track results for the TRex with heads. As soon as I get mine running I will have both shortly after.

Got some numbers for ya.

My cam is a 'trex' (almost identical, lift is slightly higher), see sig for specs and numbers.

I'm going to try and get some weight out of the car and hit the track again when it cools off some and hopefully get some better track times.

There's a guy on here with a heavy *** convertible, TRex and ETP 215 heads in the 10s. He's running 456 gears. Just make sure you have all the supporting mods (suspension, tires, bolt ons, valvetrain, gears, stall) or you will probably end up being very disappointed.

A LOT of the bucking issues are tune related. If tuned properly the TRex can drive like a kitten.

Default keeping TRex

Thanks for the posts guys, I cant wait to see how my car runs with those new heads. I was already trapping 116mph with a bad tune and high temps. I am running a spooled 12 bolt w/ 4.30s a few suspension components and a 28x11.5 et drag so I am hoping that this is a pretty insane combo. Do you think I could see 120mph NA?
