Don't have any hard facts to prove which oil is better, but I use Castrol GTX in my '94 chevrolet truck if that means anything. It has 186K miles on it, with no engine problems, just the regular wear and tear items.

Used Castrol as long as I can remember. Hell, I trust it to the point of switching from the synthetic to Castrol SAE 30 in my goat.
And yeah, for the most part....oil is oil...all pretty much the same as dino goes.
