Thanks for the help thus far. I am building a forged LS6 and just want to see which parts I should go after for some things like rockers, fuel rails etc if there are any difference to LS1 parts. I know the basic differences to both engines but would really like a low down comparison. I will now check out the sticky to see if it helps me.
Need to know the year of the LS1 to compare. I have an 04' GTO and there are very few differences between my engine and the LS6? Cylinder heads, timing chain, camshaft, is about it!

Are you just building a forged LS6 block or do you have the heads and the cam as well?
If you are just building a forged LS6 block. There are no differences when ordering aftermarket parts for the motor as a LS1. Your heads, cam , and the rest of the valvetrain choices will be the same.
