There is one already out there. Search for it.

For starters, though: LS6 block has ported oil passages, better intake, heads, springs, oil pump, and cam.

Also, it depends on which LS1 you are comparing.

A last year f-body has some of the LS6 parts already (intake, possibly block).

Thanks for the help thus far. I am building a forged LS6 and just want to see which parts I should go after for some things like rockers, fuel rails etc if there are any difference to LS1 parts. I know the basic differences to both engines but would really like a low down comparison. I will now check out the sticky to see if it helps me.

Need to know the year of the LS1 to compare. I have an 04' GTO and there are very few differences between my engine and the LS6? Cylinder heads, timing chain, camshaft, is about it!

Are you just building a forged LS6 block or do you have the heads and the cam as well?

If you are just building a forged LS6 block. There are no differences when ordering aftermarket parts for the motor as a LS1. Your heads, cam , and the rest of the valvetrain choices will be the same.

EDIT: I just saw your setup in another thread.. nm.
