243/251 .653/.660 110LSA +2 advance Comp LSK lobes.

This cam will give you outstanding dynamic compression and strong area under the curve. Overlap is centered exactly over TDC so it will rev very nicely past peak hp. I would highly recommend ditcing the LS6 intake and getting a ported FAST 90/90. That would gain you at least another 30rwhp on a 415 with heads that good.

The lift on the cam Patrick mentioned kinda concerns me.
I dont think my springs would last too long.
But if that type of lift is needed, then, I need better springs.
Can I get by with a much lower lift?
Agreed, the Fast intake will def be better.
Last item on the list, because its easy to change out when more cash comes my way for it.

almost there I think........

24X/25x 6xx/6xx 112 or 110

help me finish this thing off..........

You don't have to go that small to have good drivability and a good powerband. I have a 244/250 and the only time my car bucks is if I'm going 5mph in a parking lot. So I go 6mph lol. I can cruise on the highway all day at 1500rpm. Power drops off at 6200, though I believe I have a vaccum issue. Making 450rwtq by 3500. I have more low end power than I can use. The cam you are getting is good if you want a smooth idle, but I don't think the drivability will be noticably better.

Patrick, when you say the overlap is centered over TDC, are you saying that the IVO and the EVC are the same? What are the benefits of this design feature? Also, what is your source for the specs on Comp's lobes? I haven't been able to find any, Thanks!

When I say overlap is centered over TDC, it means that the duration from IVO to TDC and TDC to EVO is around the same. If the overlap is biased to the exhaust side of TDC, it will give you good low-end torque, but run out of steam pretty fast after peak hp. Overlap biased to the intake side of TDC will carry power much longer past peak hp. Overlap centered over TDC is a good balance of both. FWIW, most cams on this board are exhaust biased relative to TDC.

LSK lobes are available from Comp, but they're not in their master catalog.

Patrick, what type of springs would be needed for that cam?

Comp 921s shimmed to within .050" of coil bind will work great. Some people have even been shimming the PRC/Patriot duals with the LSK lobes and having great success. The LSK lobes give you the additional curtain area to take advantage of those high flowing heads. Just get a good intake!

AFR 8019s (REV springs) or FTI Duals are even better than the Comp 921s--or if you really want something really awesome, the PSI duals are probably the best springs for hydraulic rollers...

Patrick G what compression should you run with that cam to optimize your dynamic comp. for pump gas?

Just wanted to make an update here.
I chose my cam, and I went with Cam Motion.

I spoke at length with Kip about my setup, and I now have in my habds a new cam!
I went with
240/244 612/612 112 108ica
I will post up results on the setup when I get them.

I felt VERY comfortable going with Kip's recommendation. His experience sold me. And I have to say their customer service was excellent. After my first request came from them a little smaller than expected, Kip called me and took the time to go through my engine, and then made the recommendation, after doing his calculations.

Thanks to everyone else (vendors) I talked with.....I thank you for your insight and time!

I have a 240/244 simular lift and a 112 ls cam in my 395 stroker. It could have been a little bigger and still idled fine. But it is choppy.

Can't wait to see her running again Jed! We'll have to have a motor-to-motor run when we're both running!

I will have my new dyno sheet up next week! Had to replace some valves on the heads because of major valve float. We believe 530-545 rwhp and 500trq when completed

Wow, yours is mild? I would NOT BE HAPPY, if mine comes out to be mild!
I put my faith into Kip at Cam Motion in choosing this cam.

Well we will see should have it running by next week.

PIANO...how is your project coming?????
