Default Potential 6.0 LQ4 swap problems.

I have acquired a 6.0 liter truck engine and am going to attempt to shove it into a 98 V6 Camaro. I was wondering if this has been done before, and if so could you give me the link to it? Also, I would like to know of any potential problems I might encounter with the engine. I know I need an LS1 water pump, oil pan, and heads. Is there anything else I should know about? I really hate surprises and I am on a tight budget. Thanks.

It should go like any other ls1 swap, as far as bolting things together the engines are almost identical. Many people have swapped this block into 4th gens, they usually bump the displacement up to 402/408 cid though. you might also think about a radiator, I don't know if the v6 is smaller/less efficient than the v-8 rad (or if they are even different). the front accesory assembly might be slightly different, and the truck intake manifold won't fit under your hood, so look for an ls1 for cheap or an ls6. you might also need to get ls1 manifolds to fit your y pipe correctly.

I'm sure there are more things to consider, rad fans come to mind, so be ready to fix many little problems to get everything working 100%.
