Thanks for all the help guys, its much appreciated. I was going to take it all apart and redo it a second time, but instead I took off the oil pump check to make sure the dots were lines up (which they were) and spun the engine around like 8 full revolutions and it seemed fine. Then I reinstalled the oil pump )new LS6 that has been ported put some oil inside of it because it was dry (forgot to last time) put that back on tighten everything up and put the front cover on. To check again I turned the engine over about 10 revolutions and the problem went away. Is there a chance that the 1st time I put on the oil pump that because either it was dry or was cocked slightly that it would not go on correctly and thus hung up on certin points? Ive been tring the last couple of days to replecate the problem but it just wont do it any more.

Sure sounds like it to me. Its ood though because the oil pump will only slide on straight since the snout is so long on the crank gear. its kinda like what happened to my crank. I just got it bolted it, and felt realy hard to turn. I took it back apart to check the clearances and put it back in, now all bolted up it spins with the ease of fingers. Odd. Good luck!
