Hi guys i have been doing alot of research with the search function and just needed some general advise on what YOU would choose. I have an 02 TA m6 w/ 9" and 4.11 gears. Due to the fast ramp rate of the gears i wanted to take advantage of a slightly bigger cam then i first imagined(228). So i have narrowed it down between two cams- The f13, or the g5x3 camshaft. DD is a priority and what i have read thus far that with the right tune these cams run pretty streetable anyways. I just need the communities opinion on what would go well with my needs.
I'll give you some backround on my car. My car was tuned by mike norris(when i had the 10bolt) and made 352hp/363 tq to the wheels with qtp headers, airbox, slp LM. So i'm thinking adding one of these cams with a good tune might put me in mid 11's ?
Do you think this is possible w/ these choice of cams? Remember, i'm broke and can't afford heads at the moment so this is what i have to work with.
Thanks for your time.

You need heads or at least porting but everyone want about $1500 for that.
In order to make big power with that type of cam(s) you need good flowing heads
And LSX 90mm Manifold
Ford Racing 30lbs injectors

You can get away with a cam only setup and still produce some great numbers. I to have a 9 inch with 411s. With a baby tr224 cam with stock heads and intake i went 12.1. I would call texas speed and see how the new ms4 would work for a dd. I hear it make great power with stock heads and with the new cam lobe design isnt to hard on your valvetrain. Good luck, also if you scrap up and extra 900 buy texas speed ls6 heads, they are cheap and produce tons of power.

the cam gurus are recomending tight lsa cams these days, something like a 228/232 on a 110 or similar with xer lobes. hit up patrick g or one of the other wise men and they will head you down the right trail.
