I'll be recieve my enlistment bonus from the Navy here shortly, and I'm thinking of doing a H/C setup. I've done a decent amount of research and all (except which cam to get), and so far I've thought of this: get TEA stage II heads, cam, install them myself, have someone else tune. My question is, would this work? I'm fairly confident in my mechanical abilities, the only thing I'm concerned with is the tuning. I don't know if there's a place closer than 3 hours to do the tuning. Would it be safe to drive the car 3 hours if it's not tuned properly? I'm not sure what all will be done as far as other mods, so I don't know how rich/lean it'd be running. What do you guys think? I'm just trying to figure out what needs to be done.
