Default What Lifts/duration Does Ptv Become Issue?

Where is the area that valve clearance becomes a must flycut? Is it influenced more by lsa and overlap? I'm getting a 228/230 on a 110+1 with XE-R lobes and Dart 225's. Anyone have to flycut using a similar arrangement? Thanks!

PTV clearance is mostly affected by duration and lsa. With that said you'll be just fine if your installing the heads unmilled.

Why are you going with the 225s though? With the size cam you are going with, I have to assume this is a 346 build. If so, I would go with the 205s, and also have them milled and go with a thinner gasket for extra compression and a better quench. Just be sure to check your PTV by claying before the startup. With that 110+1, your going to be limited on how much you can mill before your going to be too close for comfort. Good luck!
