forged stock cubes
forged stock cubes I was wondering what kind of power can i expect from a streetable forged stock cube set-up n/a?
I know forged doesnt make any more power but valve reliefs for bigger cam maybe a lil higher compression will...wondering if anyone on here had a similar set-up?

you said it yourself that forged wont make any more power and if your going to stay NA then there will be no reason to forge anything..People stuff bigger cams by Flycutting there piston,which is just making your own valve reliefs with a special tool made for the job..The highest numbers i have seen were in the 480 to 490 rwhp range..The average person with heads/cam and all the boltons sit in the 420 to 440 range.. Most of the guys that made those huge numbers of over 460 did it with smaller sized cams (220 to 230 range)and lots and lots of tedious attention to details.lots of money too
Agreed, going forged is not needed unless you are going forced induction or maybe nitrous. If you have other goals like road racing, or you put a large cam in and wanna spin the motor up high constantly it would be a nice security blanket. My HP pulled to the rev limiter, it would be cool to feel safe spinning to 7500-8000 rpm with a forged bottom end, but for the money involved for that I'll just shift at 6800.
if your going to spray under a 200 shot then just get forged pistons,if over then mine as well change everything,although the crank would probably be ok up too 800 rwhp.Its the rpms that really kill your botom end.
