A friend of mine and myself are getting ready to do a cam swap in his 00 Z28. It's got 18k miles on it. Is changing the oil pump recomended with these little miles? How much more trouble would it be to change it? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I would say no, dont change it... But thats just me. My car had 80K+ miles on it so I changed mine for piece of mind.... Oh yeah, it was a pain in the a$$!!

Yeah it sounds fine to run on that pump. If you do decide to change it though don't waste the chance and change the timing chain at the same time.
