need help- fitting size for temp gauge

I was going to put a mechanical gauge in the head but the hole is too small for any fitting that I have. Anybody know what fitting I need and will the mechanical gauge even work or do I need to get an electric gauge set up.?

Auto Meter dose not have a mechanical guage that will work on the LS heads.
They can fix you up with a elec. Guage though.
Call them for part #s and buy the parts from Jegs.
