Rebuilt motor not making power it should?
Rebuilt motor not making power it should? So, I have a 98 Z28.. I bought it with 42.6 on the clock, and spun a rod bearing at about 44k. I had the motor rebuilt, had the heads ported, added a hotcam, ls6 springs, headers, ls6 intake, ported my throttle body, cutout and due to the fact that there are no local tuners, I sent my pcm to pcmforless..
The motor seemed juicy for the first few hundred miles, I have about 1600 on it now and it just doesn't seem to pull like it should. Most people I asked quoted me at having 360 - 390 at the wheels, and the car doesnt really seem to have any more pull than when I got it(stock with ppg3 which I discarded and magnaflow exhaust).. I've noticed sometimes when I rip a little bit the car smells kind of hot..
Could this be a bad tune? some sort of valvetrain problem? Bad porting job
on the heads? Any ideas?

Mailorder tunes are, I don't know what to say. I know I just had to get a dyno tune to fix my mailorder tune cause I knew something wasn't right. I found out with the dyno tune that the car was running rich as hell.
