Let me restate that I have a 98 block and I bought ls2 heads. I also bought 6.0 MLS gaskets from gm. Everything works great. No leaks, no blocked coolant passages. Im sure you could get the gaskets in other sizes, but I was told to go with the 6.0 by many peeps on the board.

6.0 gaskets are 6.0 gaskets. You can ask for 02+ escalade head gaskets, 05+ goat head gaskets, etc. It doesn't matter, they are all the same.

Ok so to clarify, you buy gaskets for the CYLINDER HEAD you have not block. 98 heads will need 98 headgaskets.

SS4Matt, yeah I remember seeing your car too! I think I tried to race you, but you would go haha... I am always at hawthornes at 14 and WW and I go to autoeurope sometimes. We should meet up! Get ahold of me if you ever need a hand with the build.

Kind of. You want to match the gasket to the largest bore. If you have a 6.0 block with '98 heads you would want the 6.0 4.030 gaskets and not the '98 3.900 gaskets as they would be in the combustion area of the cylinder.
