Question is it a good price?????

hey guys im going to get some work done and i was wondering if it is a good price for the parts and install.
the shop is vengance racing wich is a recent sponsor that is not that far from where i live.
the guy said around $2200 for a custom 220/220 cam, valve springs, pushrods, pacesetter lt's and or y pipe, all the gaskets and fluids, full dyno tune and dyno time out the door.
he said i dont need new locks or retainers or seats because its a small cam and i dont plan on a stall.
what do you guys think?

honestly, a stall will probably net you a better gain than a cam with no stall. Just from what i have seen. Then if you go with a stall, you would probably want a 224 cam or so. 224 cams have awesome driveability, and decent power.

The price seems like it maybe a little high, but i do all my own work, so i donr really know what the going rate for a cam install is.

If it were my car, i would do a stall...

Seems like it might need to be $1800.00 to be a good deal.

Get the parts and do it yourself. I am in the middle of mine and am having a blast. Taking my time. My wife has done all the work on the passenger side of the car and I have done the drivers side. She loves this kind of stuff. Its really not difficult. I was so affraid at first. Hell, the car still might not start hehe, but I have faith. It really is just bolts, being careful and taking your time. Not rocket science. hehe

that is pretty close i'd say to a decent deal.parts will be around 1200 bucks total so you're pretty much paying a grand for installation and a dynoyune, which alot of people charges around 500 or so, so 500 for labor also.

Thats a great deal. You'll be getting top quality parts and service from Vengeance. They know exactly what they're doing with these cars. From what I understand, you won't find anyone in ATL area that can even come close to what they can do for you. After I get my next round of parts together and install, I'll be coming from TN for Ron to tune this thing.
