Default Another head gasket question for dummies

Call me stupid or what. I have searched, but haven`t made head or tails on what to do. I have a set of ported centerbolt 853`s with the notch that I am wanting to put on my 01 t/a. What head gasket do I buy? Also, they are milled .018. Do I need shorter pushrods or will the stock length do. It`s the stock cam as well. Motor has never been opened.

TIA

You'll need to use the 98 graphite gaskets. As for the pushrods, not sure.

Cant testify for the head gaskets but your stock length pushrods will still be OK.

Stock length PRs are great choices. 7.4 PRs are usually on the short side since the cams base circle is smaller. Im running 7.400 pushrods with heads milled .040 and its runs very well. And yes, the graphite gasket is the one you need. The SDPC catalog explains it quite well if youve got it laying around.

Yeah, I have a catalog of theirs laying around somewhere. I`ll have to dig it up. I`m probably going to buy the Mr Gasket head gaskets so I can bump compression a bit more and tighten the quench. Probably gonna do the swap this weekend.
Thanks guys

Yeah, the Mr. Gasket .042s are a good choice. A buddy of mine has had good luck with them.
