From what I have seen on this forum, the Manleys seem to have a rather checkered history so I would change them.

If by check them you mean pull them off and check the load/resistance on each one, sure do it if you have the time. If not I'd replace them around 20k miles. You won't be able to look at them and see if they are getting old unless one is already broken. Valve springs are wear items guys. 20k is pretty normal life expectancy, less if you beat on it regularly.

well... no, it isnt a normal wear item

Sorry, updated my post. What I meant to say was that the Manleys have had some breakages, many at lower mileage than what you have. Not sure which specific springs, but you may want to do a search and then if the springs aren't identified in the post, contact the guy who had the problem. That's what I had to do recently with another type of spring.

If you mean check them for the springs pressure it might be a good idea with the history of those springs....if you mean to look at them and see if one is broken you won't have to do that..you'll know without looking if you break one..next time buy some PRC duals or Patriot Gold duals they will last a very long time..I've got 32,000 miles on a set of PRCs...I let my engine warm up for 3-5 minutes every moring before I take off for the day..that is one of the keys to a long spring life and no oil consumption ...
