I would definitely be pulling the heads off...especially in light of your compression test results. There is a very good possibility that a valve was open somewhere and the explosion forced the bottom end around the wrong way and bent something...

Same thing happened to my buddy on his LT4 except he was on the track and the solenoid was stuck wide open in between shifting gears...ended up breaking 3 rockers, bending 4 valves, sent 2 pushrods through the top of the valve cover, and blew out a header collector...On the other hand however, the big *** flame that shot out from under the car was pretty cool looking!

Thats all part of the fun though...break it, fix it, break it again...what else you gonna do? Sit on the couch watching Dancing with The Stars?
