Please critique my H/C setup
Please take a look at my proposed setup below. I think I'm close to putting the final touches together after months of deliberation/research and would appreciate some constructive feedback.
The car is a 98 SS that will see most of its life on the street, not the track. Since I'm in CA I have to take 91 octane fuel into consideration and smog (specifically the sniffer test). With that being said:
Heads: AFR 205s milled to 64 cc with .045 head gasket.
Cam: Comp 224 .581 lift 114 LSA
This cam I think is the largest that will pass smog here otherwise I would have gone for the 224/228. The cam will be installed on a 112 ICL which should put my DCR around 8.4 if my calculations are correct. Should be manageable on 91 octane.
Of course, the car will have full exhaust (LTs) and bolt-ons.
Well, what do you think?

The cam is a good all around choise, will make nice broad power and be fairly safe for even the CA emissions regs.
The heads, I am honestly not sold on the AFR's I would still go for a good set of LS6 heads or ETP's
Good Luck!

my suggestions... either the CheatER cam, or you leave the stock cam in it (while you have heads off replace lifters for $125) get your car sniffered, then put the G5x4 in it.. my favorite cam
