Default Dependable LQ9 power?

What would be a good combination for a LQ9 w/ auto tranny to make 380RWHP and 400+ Torque and still be a reliable everday driveable vehicle. Sorry I'm new to LSx style motors and still trying to figure out what can fit with what and what doesn't. All i know is the 6.0L LQ9 out the Truck is my starting point.

That power should be NO problem at all on a dialy driver. my car makes 380 RWHP on a 75,000 mile LS1 that gets TONS of abuse. I drive 700 miles a week in a cammed LS1... 380 RWHP, but i only have 370 rwtq.

No, I would go a little bigger, like in the 23x range
TSP 231/234 (AKA TQ3) is a good candidate or G5X2 (LG)

Isn't that kinda alot bigger with those duration numbers. Stock these things have a wee little peanut cam with under .500 of lift and I think the engine puts out good numbers. This is coming from a guy with a thirdgen with a L98 w/ 245hp and 345tq.

LS1GTA,
What kind of vehicle is this in? Automatic or Manual?

A cam with about 212*/218* to 216*/224*I/E duration @ .050" with about a .525" to .560" valve lift and some mildly ported 317 heads would make this kind of power easily if you are talking a car with a manual trannie. A LSA of 112 to 114 will intensify the torque and HP with some lope while a wider LSA 116 to 118 will broaden the power and torque curves while making peak HP/TQ and a smoother idle.

If you are talking a truck with an automatic, perhaps four wheel drive, then you will soak up a lot of power/torque in the drive train.

This kind of head cam combo will have good manners and durability. You will need to do some WBAFR based tuning (speed density first, then add back the MAF then turn on LTFT). Tuning should be for all MAP/RPM combinations (including idle) and spark should be optimized. You'll have a kick-*** street vehicle that is rock reliable.
