Question Reverse Duration Relevance

Looking at 224/228 or 228/232 XER. Question I have as at what point does a reverse duration lose favor with LS1/6 motors?

As I understand it, the reverse worked well with the LSx motors do to weak intake flow numbers and weak intake. Was there enough improvement with the LS6 H/I/C to just a move back toward a split or forward duration cam? When I run the various scenarios through EA, the reverse durations look very doable.

Plans are to stay with with stock heads/intake.
