Offset cam bushings to change ICL?
Has anyone here used offset cam bushings to change their ICL? I'm currently at +4 or +2 (waiting on cam doctor specs), and want to install my cam at +0. I already have a new LS6 chain, so I was hoping to get by with some offset cam bushings.
Also, is the use of these bushings safe?

Not sure what you mean by cam bushings. I guess you mean the pin thats pressed in the front of the cam? I would imaging that to work fairly well, assuming you dont go too big (less metal at teh seam). Otherwise you can dial in your cam without an adjustable timing set .

I used offset bushings for my new LT1 motor that is being built. I think I got them from Jegs. You have to drill the timing gear and push the bushing in. I bought two packs (one pack are odd degrees and the other are even) got my cam within .5". I'm sure it would be the same for a LS1. You should always degree cams anyway....
