Default alright engine got analysed n i need some help

alright well it looks pretty bad... they arent sure what happend. Originally I thought that my oil pump failed and my block wasnt getting oil because i had no oil pressure. It turns out that my block is basically fucked. The mechanic said he could resleeve the block and i want to know if resleeving it will affect the car. Besides that my crank snapped and so did the timing belt. Am I better off getting a new block, crank, and timing belt or should i just get it resleeved im trying to do this as cheap as possible but i dont want it to affect performance.. so help me out fellas

Do not have a local machine shop resleeve your motor. If you insist on getting a motor done locally, just buy a used block and have it honed. For that matter, you could probablly hone the sleeves in the block you have, if something else isn't wrong with it. Resleeving is a tedious process, and should only be done by someone who know's what's going on. They also need the correct machining tools, which usaully consists of a wet CNC, which 90% of local shops don't have. Persoanlly, if your building it back to stock just to get running, I'd hit the for sale section and buy someones long block/short block. There is always someone gettting rid of a decent mileage motor.

If possibale, hone your stock block to 3.905", by some 3.905 pistons and have it reassembaled. That would be choice 1. If not, buy a nice low mileage short or long block. I sold my 9k mile motor out of my 02' for $1900 intake to oil pan. So nice ones are out there.
