Default Dissapointing track results

,Hi Guys,

I ran my car on Friday and to say the least was very dissapointed with the results. I ran cam only on street tires and was pulling 12.0-12.1/115-116, After installing Dart 225's, FAST 90/90 and a tune, with ET streets the car went 12.06 /115.Could probably get her to 11.8's or so with a good launch I was going easy out of the hole with 1.798 sixties. Mike Norris did the tune and said something is holding the car back, I can feel that the car doesn't rev as fast in gear like it did before the install. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be holding it back

Cam only 392/368
Dart and FAST 90/90 422/385

I thought the # were weak for what the car has in it compared to cam only, Before I start taking this thing apart to see what might be wrong, I wanted to see what you guys think..

Thanks
John

Just curious, why not go with the smaller 205cc heads vs 225?

Well with the 3600 stall and G5x3 I was told I'd make more power to the top. I 1/4 mile the car and was looking for the best results. I don't think the heads are to big, the problem is the car feels sluggish throuout the rpm range.

what about the pushrod length? if its off you'd be loosing power. other then missing power it would run perfect.

i would suggest the valvetrain could be looked into.., springs, rods, lifters, anything to flow more oil? do you have a crank scraper? do you or can you list a build sheet so we know what we are looking at?

I'm thinking valvetrain to,its a stock shortblock, going to check pushrod length this week.My SCR is 11.5 and my DCR is 8.6+ and I think it should make much more power, I was told without me checking that the 7.4 pushrods would be fine, but now that I think about not to many people have used these heads so maybe It could be the problem. Yes it runs great but just doen't climb very quickly, cam only it climbed quicker so this could be the problem I hope.
