Motor Knocking i pulled up to the car wash and my motor was making a noise.
i have never heard one like this. it was running real good though. so i drove it home but i got gas first and put 92 octane in it with a little splash of diesel for better cylinder lubrication.so i pull up into the driveway and i still hear the noise. what do you guys think it is. i think it might be a god damn broken crankshaft.cause this noise is bad. my fuel mileage dropped about 2 mpg less than usuall.so idk.can you guy tell me what a broken crankshaft sounds like. any help would be great cause i am a dumb *** to this stuff because i try to act like i know alot but i really dont. i am also a EX-AUTOZONER so i kinda some. thanks alot!!!

i spun a rod bearing once and it sounded like a really loud knocking noise. it wasnt to loud but it was deffinately heard from like 15 ft away. check ur oil for metal shavings. also check and see if youve got smoke coming out youre exhaust too that usually a bad sign youll know something is wrong at that point.
